Human-led AI is transforming insights into the most collaborative, inspiring and impactful area of your business.
I’m just back from a week in Austin for IIEX. As promised, the event delivered an exciting exchange of ideas, innovation and countless mentions of AI. I’ll admit, I helped a few people win at buzzword bingo, presenting about Bounce’s AI Engines during the Innovation Competition.
But, as we dove deeper into the topic and heard from speakers with diverse backgrounds and experiences, we started to see the genuinely transformational impact of AI on our industry. What struck me was how AI is creating a convergence of disciplines, which I’ve not seen from previous “industry shaping” technologies.
Here are my top takeaways:
You need trainers to keep fit
Some of the most captivating talks were from those with behavioural science, anthropology or deep market research backgrounds. These individuals and businesses drew attention to humans in a usually tech oriented environment. They spoke about empathy and emphasised that people with the ability to understand our deeper motivations would be the ones to ensure AI fosters connections between people. When AI models are trained and used by experts, they have the power to drive empathetic decision making across organisations. They’re like the personal trainers of the insights world, keeping AI models fit.
Diverse data is gold
In a world where panel partners tell us that fraudsters are lurking everywhere, Gen Z would rather watch TiKTok videos than take surveys and black consumers adapt their language in an effort to be better understood, it’s incredibly hard to generate robust and representative data. But, with the help of AI we can find and multiply golden nuggets. From generating synthetic data based on small datasets to social listening to predict cultural trends, generative AI can produce diverse datasets to ensure underrepresented audiences are genuinely understood.
No more knowledge gaps
The best decisions are made when you’ve looked at a problem from all angles and you have all the information available to you. But, that is easier said than done. We all have our areas of expertise, access or even bias toward specific types of data. So, many decisions are made with knowledge gaps. AI powered systems can be a huge help with this. AI models feed off complex datasets, enabling organisations to bring together and leverage all types of data from qual to quant. Decision makers don’t need training in every methodology to fill their knowledge gaps and make well informed decisions.
These are just a few of the multidisciplinary discussions I heard throughout the event. And, I believe they’re evidence that AI is transforming the insights industry into the most collaborative, inspiring and impactful areas of business.
The Bounce team had an amazing time at IIEX, sharing our own innovative vision and feeling even more excited about being part of the human-led AI transformation that is supercharging insights. No longer do insights teams need to burn time working hands-on in “DIY fashion,” because Bounce experts are trained on the latest AI technology and do the work for you. More importantly, no longer do insights organisations need to operate with knowledge gaps because the rapid speed and quality of our technology and service model allow brands to do so much more with less investment and a fraction of the time!
